This is an exciting opportunity to join the Single Point of Access (SPOA) in West Sussex.
We are looking to recruit either into a Band 5 Nurse Development post or Band 6 Practitioner.
We welcome Nurse applicants who are due to qualify this September, Nurses that are newly qualified and Nurses and those with some previous experience either as a Mental Health nurse or as a Paediatric Nurse with the right experience.
The SPOA is designed to ensure that children, young people, their families, carers and relevant professionals are triaged and signposted to the most appropriate emotional wellbeing, mental health support and intervention which meets their needs at the earliest possible stage and with the minimum delay.
The SPOA aims:
- An integrated aligned and co-ordinated service is in place
- More CYP have access to appropriate mental health services first time
- More CYP have positive experiences of care and support
- Time taken to receive treatment and support is reduced
- Improved data collection and evaluation of CYP’s outcomes
This post offers the Trust's £4,000 Incentive for band 5-7 Nurses & Practitioners, as well as a relocation package up to a maximum of £8,000 (subject to terms and conditions).

This is a new and exciting post to work alongside SPoA clinicians to agree on the most appropriate care pathways for children and young people referred into SPoA.
This involves working in partnership with children, young people and their families and the wider professional networks to gather more information in order to make informed decisions on the most appropriate care pathways.
To participate in case discussions and to develop an understanding of available services and evidence based therapeutic intervention to inform decision making of the most appropriate service to signpost too.
You will be supported by more senior members of the team and offered supervision and reflective practice.

We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.
The post holder will receive clinical and line management supervision and support as well opportunities for in-house training. Some post-registration training would be very welcome; however there are opportunities for CPD and being part of the wider Sussex CAMHS team through Away Days and other specialist training opportunities.

SPOA are looking to recruit a Band 5 - 6 Nurse this can also be a development post for those with less experience. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and with a passion for working creatively and collaboratively with children and young people and other professionals often as the first point of contact with services within West Sussex.
The post entails working in a lively, busy Team delivering high quality interventions to children, young people and their families, including telephone contact and onward signposting
This post requires some knowledge and experience of working with young people who are experiencing severe and complex mental health difficulties.
Essential criteria:
Qualified or newly qualified RMN or RN Paediatric Child Branch
Evidence of continuing professional development.

Flexibility with working patterns is desirable as we may extend the hours of our service to include some weekend and evening work
