Job overview
Aneurin Bevan University Health Board is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic leader to fill the role of CT Lead at The Grange University Hospital.
This post is full time permanent contract based at The Grange University Hospital, Cwmbran, with a requirement to work across other Aneurin Bevan sites as required.
The CT Lead will operationally lead the CT service at The Grange University Hospital and assist colleagues in the operational management of the CT service on other Aneurin Bevan sites. This will involve managing staff and equipment. They will lead the CT service and provide guidance to staff working within it; have an expert knowledge, understanding and interest in CT.
The CT Lead will be required to work with the radiology senior management team and key stakeholders to deliver a high quality CT service. Manage, co-ordinate and when required, participate in the provision of the CT service across Aneurin Bevan University Health Board.
The post holder will be responsible for contributing to compliance with the Welsh Government targets of Referral-to-Treatment Time and Single Cancer Pathway.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Managerial
• To manage a multi-disciplinary team to support service development and delivery. To develop the CT service in GUH taking into account
multiple complex demands and managed resources appropriately.
• To establish new methods of working in GUH requiring the formulation of policies and procedures and the development of processes to meet
the clinical need.
• To ensure the CT staff provide a welcoming atmosphere to patients, relatives and other staff.

• To manage the effective deployment of CT staff across the Health Board, managing sickness absence in line with the Health Board policy.
To manage the concerns of the C staff and efficiently manage the team.
• To communicate effectively with all service providers, dealing with both complex technical information and having the ability to communicate
this effectively to other staff members.
• To ensure the effective management of Radiation and Health and safety legislation.
• To work effectively and present the requirements for the service to senior management considering targets and scanning availability so
allowing the management team to shape and inform the strategic planning for CT service, including, workforce, training and capital.
• To manage change with the CT staff as required by service development, enabling good operational management and ensuring targets are
met. To take responsibility for resolving areas of conflict which may arise as a result.

within the Health Board.
