Newcastle Hospitals are proud to be one of the exemplar organisations across the NHS on sustainability, with a long history of delivering Sustainable Healthcare in Newcastle (Shine) and the first healthcare organisation in the world to declare a climate emergency. Our strategy includes commitments to being Net Zero by 2030, for our direct carbon footprint, and Net Zero by 2040 for our footprint plus. Delivering these ambitions will not be possible without the help, support and action of every single member of our team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Analyst to join Information Services at Newcastle Hospitals as the lead analyst of maternity data. The role will involve the production of a wide range of analysis for the Family Health Clinical Board, with a focus on maternity services and data produced from the Badgernet clinical system.
This new, dedicated post has been created to gain valuable insights into the care provided for women across the region who use our maternity services. By interrogating and surfacing information captured along maternity pathways we gain a deeper understanding of the impact of different interventions and the subsequent outcomes for both mum and baby. The knowledge gained allows the service to learn and adjust to the changing needs of the population that we serve as well as providing valuable assurance on the accuracy and completeness of the clinical record.
Although based at Regent Point with other analysts and IT staff you will work closely with midwives, doctors and managers who are based at the Royal Victoria Infirmary and in the community.
