Job overview
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and extremely organised Band 2 Receptionist / Administrative Assistant to join our friendly Prosthetics Team based at the Specialised Ability Centre Manchester.
As part of the busy team you will play an integral role in supporting the Prosthetic Service to deliver an excellent standard of care.
Previous experience of working with the general public in a pressurised environment is desirable.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills as they will be dealing directly with Healthcare professionals, patients on the front line and also verbally via the telephone. You will need to be flexible, hard working and conscientious.

The post holder will assist in providing a full range of admin support to clinical teams including but not limited to:
- Utilise the Trust Systems to accurately record patient details and activities (including but not limited to appointments, admissions, discharge, addition to waiting list), ensure the timely recording of all patient activity in line with the Trust Patient Access Policy including data quality requirements.
- Provide a telephone service, answering and recording incoming calls, relaying queries, and messages as necessary, liaising with other departments and external organisations where appropriate.
- The post holder will be expected to contribute to the provision and smooth running of a front of house / reception service ensuring customer needs are met in full.
- Where relevant, to arrange requests for other services, ensuring compliance with Trust deadlines and inputting requests into appropriate systems, e.g., arranging patient transport for eligible patients, booking interpretation services, porters, and diagnostic tests.
