About You:
You are a detail-oriented person who enjoys data analysis with a strong understanding of procurement processes and experience working with large datasets. You enjoy translating complex data into meaningful insights and are motivated by the idea of supporting the NHS in identifying opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiency. Experience in commercial data analysis and familiarity with NHS procurement data will make you an ideal candidate.
The Commercial Data Insight Manager will play a critical role in supporting NHS procurement through data-driven insights, helping to unlock value and deliver successful commercial outcomes. Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.
Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

- Data Analysis and Quality Improvement:
Dive into procurement data to analyse trends, spot opportunities for savings, and improve data accuracy and completeness. You will play a key role in ensuring that data quality meets high standards to support decision-making. - Support Savings and Opportunity Analyses:
Collaborate with the Senior Manager to identify and develop case studies, use cases, and savings reports based on data insights. You’ll help tell the story of how data can drive procurement efficiency and cost savings for NHS organisations. - Respond to Data Queries:
Act as a point of contact for data-related queries from stakeholders, providing clear, insightful responses to support their use of the NHS Spend Comparison Service. You’ll also troubleshoot data inconsistencies, working closely with organisations to ensure correct data submissions. - Spot and Correct Data Issues:
Identify incorrect or inconsistent data and proactively support NHS organisations in resubmitting accurate data. - Case Study and Reporting Development:
Assist in creating case studies, reports, and data-driven analyses that showcase the benefits of the NHS Spend Comparison Service and how it has led to savings and efficiency improvements across the NHS. - Develop Reports, Dashboards & Custom Analysis:
Utilise tools like Power BI, Tableau and Salesforce (Atamis) to improve and develop dashboards and reports that communicate performance insights, benchmark analysis, and benefit realisation.
