Are you looking for a challenge? St Marys Hospital are looking to recruit a highly motivated & well organised individual to cover Maternity leave to coordinate the medical rosters for the obstetric service.
You will work closely with lead clinicians and the management team to ensure sufficient levels of staffing to cover all areas of the service and ensuring excellent communication is maintained with any staff with external contractual commitments.
The post holder will have excellent planning, negotiating and organisational skills to ensure all areas are staffed adequately. In agreement with the clinical lead, you will monitor and approve planned absences i.e annual leave, study leave and special leave . There will also be the monitoring of unplanned absences and the follow up of ensuring all absences are recorded accurately and initial return to work interviews are conducted.
A flexible approach to work is essential to meet the needs of the service as the post holder will be expected to work at locations across the division including Oxford Road, North Manchester General and Wythenshawe Hospital.
High levels of emotional and mental resilience are key to keep up with agreed targets and the demands of the service whilst striving for excellence.

This post will be responsible for the formulation and day to day management of the doctors rotas. This will be achieved by working closely with lead clinicians and admin leads. There will be excellent planning, negotiating and organisation to provide adequate staffing to cover all relevant areas of the Obstetric Service including any staff with external contractual commitments.
The post holder will provide support to the senior managers to assist in the management of the medical staff group to ensure a comprehensive medical staffing service is always provided.
To co-ordinate and provide administrative support for recruitment/workforce planning developments, medical on call rotas, medical staff induction, education and training, job planning and appraisals.
