A new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Manager to join our busy Hotel Services department within the Royal Victoria Infirmary.
We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives on challenges and being able to make a difference.
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Senior Management Team within Operational Services will have excellent communication and time management skills.
You will provide direct support to the Department Manager and Deputy manager and to deputise in their absence as necessary over the full range of duties.
Assist in motivating and leading a large workforce with Supporting the delivery of a quality Hotel Services in the Trust always ensuring that National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 are met.

The Assistant Manager role has varied tasks enabling the position to be flexible to service demands and include:
- Ensuring the availability and regular supply of linen to end users across the Royal Victoria Infirmary site and any sites managed within the community
- To manage the allocation of central lockers for Trust staff
- To provide advice support and supervision to all staff within the department, ensuring flexibility to cover all shift patterns
- Support staff to complete all statutory / Mandatory training and lead the completion of staff Appraisals
- Assist with Recruitment for the department, keeping in line with budgets and take a lead on the Induction process and on Job training for all staff
- Liaise with services users, IPCN and Patient services for all matters that involve the Department

- To assist with Selection and recruitment of sufficient numbers of staff within budget resources
- To oversee management of changing facilities in line with Trust Policy

- To ensure that National Standards of Healthcare Cleanliness 2021 are met
- Participate with Head of Nursing audits
- To take a lead role in implementing/managing any defect within the Synbiotix audit process
- To support Patient Lead Assessment and Care of the Environment (PLACE)
- To Manage staff and resources as required
- To ensure sufficient provision of quality linen is supplied to the end user
- To ensure the statutory requirements of the Health Act 2006 are adhered to within the individual’s own responsibilities
- To ensure all statutory and Mandatory training is within Trust Targets for the Department
- Assist with Induction process and on Job training for all staff
