The United Lincolnshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (ULTH) is one of the largest trusts in the country. Through four main hospitals we provide a comprehensive range of hospital-based medical, surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecological services to the 700,000 people of Lincolnshire.
We provide a wide range of healthcare services delivered by 8,600 highly trained staff and volunteers. Our services cost over £400m each year to provide and we invest around £18m each year in improving our clinical services by replacing and upgrading our medical equipment, modernising our estate and facilities and improving our information and technology infrastructure. In an average year, we treat more than 180,000 A&E patients, nearly half a million outpatients and almost 100,000 inpatients.

For all other Medical Workforce positions, the full-time entitlement commences from 27 days per annum.

We are looking to recruit 1 x Administration Apprentice to join our Acute Paediatrics Administrative Team. As a member of the Acute Paediatrics Department, the post holder will engage with and work alongside Medical Secretaries and Speciality Co-ordinator, senior medical staff, nursing staff, and other health care professionals and partner organisations across the patient journey providing a range of administrative support functions.

About the Role
The role is for a fixed term duration for a minimum of 15 months and involves providing support to the Medical Secretaries within Acute Paediatrics in a wide range of duties, whilst also enabling the Apprentice to study for a nationally recognised qualification, Intermediate Apprenticeship in either Customer Service Level 2 / Level 3 or Business Administration Level 3, dependent upon entry qualifications. This qualification will include work place assessments and also attendance at study skills sessions.
What we're looking for
Applicants should have good keyboard skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as an individual and as part of a team, be able to prioritise and organise work in order to meet tight deadlines whilst being flexible and able to adapt to the changing needs of the service. It is essential to be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills, together with accuracy and attention to detail whilst maintaining confidentiality at all times.
