We are offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) to join our team across Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon, and Wiltshire (BSW). As a Trainee CWP, you will provide low-intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) interventions for children and young people, including:
- Behavioural treatments for anxiety
- Guided parent-led self-help
- Behavioural activation for depression
This is a unique role within the children and young people's workforce in BSW, where you will work under robust supervision alongside other Getting Help colleagues and be supported by a Clinical Team Manager. As we continue to develop our low-intensity mental health services, there will be opportunities for collaborative work with other CWPs (both trainees and graduates) across the region.
Oxford NHS Foundation Trust, in partnership with the University of Reading’s Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (CYP IAPT) programme, is offering a one-year, fixed-term training opportunity for a Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP).
This role is part of our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and supports the national goal to expand access to evidence-based mental health interventions for children, young people, and their families, as outlined in the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health.
Join us in making a meaningful impact on the mental wellbeing of children and young people
