We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to join the Digital Programmes team for 33 months and play a significant role in the Digital workstream of the new Velindre Cancer centre (nVCC) project.
We have an ambitious Digital Strategy that underpins the digital solutions used to support the opening of our new world class environmentally sustainable cancer centre. Our new home will extend and enhance specialist cancer treatment and supports the delivery of cancer care closer to home at our regional sites.

We are seeking to appoint a highly skilled, enthusiastic and people-focused business analyst. Previous experience of working in a fast-paced digital health environment is fundamental.
Demonstrable understanding and experience of operating within the full life-cycle of a service design led digital project/programme, is essential.
You will typically work on a number of work packages simultaneously – they will vary in scale and complexity.
You must be an outstanding communicator, an effective negotiator, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
The focus of the business analysis function is to:
· Plans business analysis activities, across all phases of projects including identification, assessment and management of risks and production of realistic plans and contribution towards lessons learned.
· Liaise with clients/users to clarify details of requirements. Design, create and test moderately complex information deliverables.
· Undertake logical modelling through to component specification and design; assist technical planning and assurance. clearly elicit, define and document stakeholder requirements.
· Establish or maintain a data structure and its associated components by applying data analysis and modelling techniques.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

You will utilise your previous business analysis experience to support the design and delivery of critical new and innovative digital systems as part of the nVCC programme. ensuring the alignment of strategic objectives, operational ways of working and embedding data and insight into our everyday, placing our clinicians, service colleagues and patients at the centre of the transformation.

- Educated to Masters level or equivalent qualification / experience
- Familiar with modelling and analysis tools (e.g. Enterprise Architect), methods and standards (e.g. UML, BPMN).
- In-depth knowledge of business modelling techniques and experience in obtaining input from and communicating modelling results to senior managers for agreement.
- Knowledge of business processes to advise database designers and other application development team members on the details of data structures and associated components.

- Experience of applying a variety of analytical techniques to information and quantifying result integrity based upon assessment of sources and techniques applied.
