We are currently recruiting for an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Kent All Age Eating Disorder (AAED) service based at The Courtyard, Pudding Lane, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1PA.
This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post – 10 PAs with 7.5 PA DCC and 2.5 SPA. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join another full-time substantive Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, 2.8wte CAMHS Consultants, 0.4wte Paediatrician, and 0.6wte CAMHS Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Kent is a county in Southeast England and one of the home counties. It borders Greater London to the northwest, Surrey to the west and East Sussex to the southwest. Kent is famously known as the Garden of England, renowned for its beauty.
You’ll not only benefit from the green surroundings, i.e., the Kent Downs; there are also some fantastic blue beaches. Kent is steeped in history with an abundance of castles, museums, and places of interest to visit.
You will be expected to:
· Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to patients with eating disorders across all ages, although more focus on the adult patients
· Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinical cases
· Provide guidance and supervision to the team, work directly with adults (and their families), and liaise as appropriate with other external adult mental health providers, and acute hospitals
· Work alongside another Adult Consultant Psychiatrists, 2,8wte CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 0.4wte Paediatrician, and 0.6wte CAMHS Specialty Doctor within the service, and will share supervision requirements for junior doctors in the service
· Further develop links already established with the local acute trusts’ A&E departments and inpatient wards, in order to continually improve our services
· Be responsible for patients allocated to them and will assess, manage, plan, and deliver care
· Support their peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst working on their own initiative and supervise junior colleagues
· Commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals and agencies
