Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within London’s world class Major Trauma System for an Assistant Psychologist who will support the delivery and operationalisation of an integrated model of physical and psychological care for victims of trauma at the Royal London Hospital. The post holders will also work with counterparts in other Major Trauma Centres to ensure there is an equitable system across London, including during and post major incident.
The project is funded for two years, after which either substantive funding will be created or alternative employment will be provided for the Band 7, 8a and 8b or 8c post within Barts Health NHS Trust. There are three Band 4 assistant psychologist posts in this pilot in total, and two posts have already been filled. The post we are currently advertising for is for our Band 4 assistant psychologist post based in adult major trauma service at the Royal London Hospital for a period of 8 months.
The focus will be on the implementation and maintenance of this new integrated model within the trust, putting patients at the heart of this transformation, but also working in collaboration with similar roles across the London system to establish good lines of communication and system wide governance.
