- Ward A5 Ward Manager
Trosolwg o'r swydd
A5 is a 28 bedded Ward that makes up the Orthopaedic Fracture Neck of Femur Unit. Ward A5 is a 28 bedded trauma orthopedic unit based on the 1st floor at Wythenshawe hospital. We have a high number of fragility fracture patients and a dedicated trauma co Ordinator’s team to expedite surgery. We work closely with the MDT to ensure right care, right place and right patient. Many of our patients live with dementia and our nurses excel in building relationships with the patients and relatives alike. Working closely with patients living with dementia provides opportunities to support the latest thinking in nursing. In November 2020 A5 became the MFT Neck of Femur Unit, and the trauma coordinator team independently manage our own beds, allowing direct handover from A and E at Wythenshawe and the MRI. The shared vision of the unit was to deliver a seamless multi-disciplinary, patient centered approach to the care of patients with a fractured neck of femur in order to improve the outcomes for our diverse population across the city of Manchester.
