Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

• To primarily oversee operation of the laboratory in the NCRF, providing training and supervision of new and junior staff and provide technical support to the Clinical Research Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT)
• To ensure the NCRF lab operates within national guidelines and local SOPs
• To undertake routine processing of samples from research participants and provide data management support for trials, inputting source clinical data into trial databases

Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month’s pay.

Knowledge of Health & Safety in laboratories
Up to date knowledge of Microsoft office packages, databases and email use
Previous relevant experience working under laboratory conditions with biological specimens
