Job overview
The MFT Data & Analytics department is a multi-disciplinary team of data Managers, Analysts, Engineers and Architects. The team is at the cutting edge of data and analytics in the largest healthcare provider organisation in the country. The Trust has recently implemented the Epic Electronic Patient Record and is now collecting a significant and comprehensive amount of data covering both administrative and clinical services. The Trust is seeking to capitalise on this opportunity through the Trust's new Data Strategy which will see a number of data and analytical capabilities implemented across the Trust as it aims to deliver better outcomes and improved through its data. There is also a new Digital Services team structure and target operating model that is being implemented to enable and deliver a new and exciting approach to data driven healthcare.
The Product Owner will be at the forefront of this transformation as a senior leader within the Digital Services team. Embracing the new data and analytical capabilities and realising the opportunities presented by the new Electronic Patient Record.
Advert
Engage with the key stakeholders from across the Trust to determine the data and analytical products and services required to meet the many and complex requirements.
Support the coordination and delivery of data and analytical products and services across the digital services teams.
Lead a programme of product innovation and discovery - reviewing new technologies, methodologies and how these can be applied to a healthcare setting.
Construct the departments product roadmap
Support and engage with the engineers, analysts, managers, architects and scientists on the delivery of the product roadmap and realisation of the products outcomes and value it will deliver.

- Degree or equivalent or relevant experience
- Masters Level degree or equivalent level of experience with Informatics
- Evidence of Personal Development
- Work as a product owner or in a delivery role that works closely with development teams delivering digital products
- Excellent knowledge of Agile principles and scrum techniques and artifacts
- In depth knowledge of the scrum and agile software development methodology.
- Excellent knowledge of user centred design principles and value proposition design. Understand and deliver high levels of design quality standards
- Knowledge of product development architecture
- Ability to provide and receive highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information, where developed persuasive, motivational, negotiation, training, empathic or reassurance skills are required.
- Ability to present complex, sensitive or contentious information to a large group
- Ability to make judgements on multistranded or complex IM&T problems which may have no precedent or where there are conflicting opinions
- Ability to formulate long-term, strategic plans which involve uncertainty, and which may impact across the whole organisation
- Ability to manage, motivate and develop staff
