In the community, we deliver services that focus on people with long term conditions living well outside hospital, through our integrated locality teams working with district and community nursing teams. Community members of staff also provide care to patients in their homes and from a number of clinics, health centres and GP surgeries.
Job overview
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Craftsperson to join our small Accommodation team undertaking planned preventative and reactive maintenance tasks.
The vacancy is predominantly based at Eastbourne DGH/Welkin Residences however some travel may be required to Conquest Hospital.
Hours of Post - Wednesday, Thursday, Friday (some flexibility may be required).

Ensuring the highest standards of visual appeal and material protection as appropriate to the building crafts in building civil engineering operations.

Essential criteria
- Basic Education

- City & Guilds qualification to NVQ Level 3
- European Computer Driving License (EDCL Level Module 7)

Experience
Essential criteria
- Minimum of 5 years Painting and Decorating or appropriate building or engineering experience within the NHS or similar environments.
- Operation, maintenance and repair of NHS or equivalent building stock, its fabric, services, plant & equipment.
- General building maintenance/repair including plumbing and electrical.
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in an Acute Hospital Environment.
