Job overview

An opportunity has arisen within South Wales Newborn Hearing Screening team to recruit two permanent Senior Screener positions.
In addition to core screening delivery, the Senior Screener has additional responsibilities in relation to direct training delivery for new starters and carrying out weekly Quality Assurance checks on screening equipment.
The Senior Screener will provide peer review for screeners and provide verbal and written feedback. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills and sufficient experience of working as a Newborn Hearing Screener, therefore, applications are restricted to existing Newborn Hearing Screeners who have completed the mandatory Level 3 accredited learning. The contracted hours and South Wales base will be discussed with the successful candidates following interview. Please note, the minimum contracted hours will be 30 hours per week. Although based in a specified South Wales site, the successful candidate must be willing to travel to other sites across Wales on a regular basis and other regions occasionally to support an All Wales service.
