Job overview
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students.
The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.

Do you feel you could deliver a high level of care to patients in a non acute setting and provide up-to-date knowledge and skills to your colleagues on the management of patients with complex discharge needs?
Opal House is a complex health medical unit with a specialism in care of the older persons. It consists of 41 beds. The unit works using a multidisciplinary approach and are looking for new team members who have an interest in frailty and caring for the older person with complex medical needs and aiding in safe discharge planning and assessment.
Opal house is a two story building which offer a homely environment for patients who are medically optimised for discharge. The unit aids in a safe environment and encourages well being with a multitude of engaging activities to promote independence.
A structured induction and training program is delivered.
