Job overview
The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust includes major teaching hospitals. A wide range of equipment is used for medical work - diagnosis, monitoring, therapy and technical work - throughout its wards, theatres, and
clinical departments.
The Clinical Engineering Department to deliver high quality medical device maintenance repair and management services within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT).

The varied and interesting work includes ensuring efficient and timely maintenance and repair of equipment, keeping accurate records, and dealing with clients on a range of medical device management issues. You will be expected to be the face of Clinical Engineering when in contact with our clients. You are are expected to have knowledge of basic scientific and engineering principles along with awareness of Health and Safety legislation.
You will need to have a logical and methodical approach to your work. You will need to be able to work as part of a team or on our own initiative and have good interpersonal and communication skills.
It would be advantageous if you are experienced in working within the NHS and have experience with workplace procedures.
The post will be mainly based at our Oxford Road Campus (ORC), but on occasion you may be working at any of our other MFT Hospitals or outside clinics.
Full support and training of our internal systems and Trust owned equipment is offered ensuring excellent career prospects. We will provide a comprehensive induction programme and you will be appraised regularly with a view to developing knowledge and skills where appropriate.
