A General Practitioner in the Urgent Treatment Centre at St Marys Hospital is required.

This is a full-time position with set shifts across the in-hours and out of hours rota which on occasions maybe altered with adequate notice to meet service requirements.

The successful candidate will be contracted with the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. As a consequence he/she is expected to be aware of local policies and procedures and to comply with standing orders and standing financial instructions of the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

In addition to having full GMC registration with a license to practice andentry on the GP Register and Performers List, you will be required to have had experience in managing patients with minor injuries and minor illnesses within an Urgent Treatment Centre and Emergency Department.

We are appointing a salaried GP for the Urgent Treatment Centre and out of hours GP service. The post is a permanent post based in the Urgent Treatment Centre at the Isle of Wight NHS Trust.

Applicants must be registered as a GP and on the Performers list.

The service runs from 08.00 to midnight 7 days a week and both in hours and out of hours work is available.

Full Registration with a licence to practice, with the GMC at time of application is essential. Applicants must also be eligible to work in the UK and have excellent skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable highly effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues.
