Health and social care reform is at the heart of our region's reform and growth agenda; healthy and independent people play a crucial part in enabling us to achieve our ambition for a growing and sustainable Greater Manchester in the future. To achieve this, we know we need radical change at scale in how health and social care is provided. We work with all ten Local Authorities, NHS organisations across Greater Manchester, social care providers, voluntary and community sector organisations, and national bodies to deliver these positive outcomes.
The Adult Social Care Workforce Transformation programme offers an exciting opportunity to put workforce priorities into action to create an integrated workforce that can deliver excellent care and support, through enriched roles, increased aspiration and a common vision of providing first class, person-centred care.
A ground-breaking academy can support the adult social care transformation ambitions for Greater Manchester by building capacity across the sector through securing future talent and upskilling the workforce, driven by market workforce intelligence. The academy will help to identify the opportunities that can be developed to address social care challenges through upskilling, development of improved and integrated career pathways and workforce innovation, and how this can be done through creative approaches to attracting people into social care careers.
