Swydd-ddisgrifiad a phrif gyfrifoldebau manwl

Lead on the development of training in ultrasound practice particularly paediatric and neonatal ultrasound skills within the region working collaboratively with NENC imaging academy team.
To maintain an autonomous clinical U/S caseload across the Trust providing U/S specialist examination in general and paediatric/neonatal US.
To act as a source of expert knowledge for the clinical aspects of ultrasound, underpinned by theory and experience.
Work closely with the NENC Imaging Network and regional ultrasound operational management team to shape and implement service delivery, including promoting best practice and auditing current practice.
Delivers and takes responsibility for training and education within ultrasound
Member of a team delivering a high quality efficient and effective ultrasound service, performing and independently reporting ultrasound scans on a daily basis and maintaining an autonomous clinical U/S caseload across the Trust.

Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month’s pay.

HCPC registered or equivalent
BSc Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent with relevant post-graduation experience and detailed knowledge of imaging techniques, radiation physics, anatomy and physiology medical terminology, pathological conditions, patient assessment and overall care
MSc or PgDip Medical Ultrasound and appropriate post qualification ultrasound experience.
