Are you ready for a new challenge? The Children’s Integrated Therapy Service is seeking an Administration Lead. This role is perfect for someone with experience in administration who is looking to make a meaningful impact. As the Administration Lead, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating the administrative support for our dedicated team of therapists.
Join our enthusiastic and friendly administrative team, dedicated to providing the best care for our patients and their families. You'll be based at Abingdon Community Hospital, with opportunities for some home working.

As the Administration Lead, you will oversee the admin support for Children’s Integrated Therapies. This includes managing the Band 4 Team Administrator and supporting the Band 3 administration team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining administrative processes, managing task allocation, and creating and implementing systems such as electronic filing and standard operating procedures. Additionally, you will work closely with the operational and clinical management teams to ensure our services support all parts of the therapy provision. You will also liaise with outside agencies, including in the education sector.
We are looking for someone with excellent organisational and communication skills, who can manage and prioritise a busy workload. Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and EMIS are essential. Experience in various NHS systems is particularly advantageous.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The Administration Lead will be responsible to the Children’s CIT Professional Lead. This role involves close collaboration with the operational and clinical management teams to ensure the administrative provision supports all parts of the service. The Administration Lead will manage the Band 4 Team Administrator and support the Band 3 administration team. Additionally, the role includes liaising with the various services/departments and maintaining relationships across the directorate services.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Advanced IT Skills: Proficiency in EMIS (electronic patient record), Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational abilities to manage and prioritize a busy workload.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to develop effective systems and procedures and work well with others.
- Analytical Skills: Highly numerical with good analytical skills.
- Leadership Skills: Experience in supervising staff and leading teams.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent at solution-focused problem solving.
- Project Management: Basic knowledge of project management principles and experience in project management is desirable.
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar administrative role within the healthcare environment. Knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and the Education Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) process would be an advantage.
