This is a 6 months secondment to cover maternity leave.
This post is with the Meadway community nursing team based in Stechford . they cover 5 council wards in the area with some cross over into Solihull border. The post will require nursing interventions to be delivered in clients in their own homes. The post holder will be expected to work multi professionally, support other team member’s roles and contribute to the future development of the service.
Consideration will be given around the trusts flexible working policy with regards to shifts.

As a senior nurse you will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills, the ability to manage change in clinical practice and processes. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to independently make sound clinical and leadership judgements and regularly supervise the workload of junior colleagues.

Priority will be given to applicants who possess the District Nurse qualification or who are currently working towards this.
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated nurses to join our teams; we provide integrated care to patients throughout Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust so the ideal candidate must be highly mobile and are able to travel throughout the City’s Boundaries.
The ideal candidates must be a good communicator, team player and have sound clinical knowledge being able to work independently and as part of a team.
UK Home Office Visa Sponsorship requirements
In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, Band 2 clinical and non-clinical roles and Band 3 Non-Clinical roles are not eligible for sponsorship.
Please note that the majority of non-clinical roles (Agenda for Change Band 3 - 6) with the exception of those which appear on this list - link, will not meet the minimum requirements set by UK Visas and Immigration to sponsor candidates to work in the UK.
All non-clinical roles (Agenda for Change Bands 7 - 9) that meet the prescribed skill level (RQF 6) and salary threshold will be eligible for sponsorship.

- Post Grad Degree or Evidence of relevant Degree level study (have gained if prescribing complete)
- Nurse Prescriber or willing to undertake Module within 12 months of employment.
- Mentor and assessor qualification or equivalent

- District Nurse Specialist Practitioner Qualification, or willing to work towards equivalent modules
