Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd – a wholly-owned subsidiary at the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust.
Following consideration of an in-depth feasibility study and comprehensive discussions with staff, trade unions and other stakeholders in 2017 and 2018 CHFT decided at its meeting in February 2018 to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary to manage its estates, facilities, medical engineering and procurement functions.
The subsidiary is called Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd (CHS) and opened for business on September 1st, 2018.

An opportunity has arisen for a Community Based Mobile Domestic Services Supervisor.

The roles involves overseeing the operational day to day supervision of Facilities services delivered to community properties facilitated by Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd.

Broad Street Plaza / Community Diagnostic Centre, Halifax
Beechwood Health Centre, Halifax

The role involves some split shift working, which can be self managed.
The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory and cleaning experience. They will have good communication skills, be reliable and hardworking with a professional attitude and they will be able to work to a schedule using their own initiative.
The candidate must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, business mileage will be reimbursed.

To function as key contact for all daily operarional issues, concerns and service failures, responding to and resolving such issues in a professional and timely manner.
Ensure quality services are delivered in compliance with relevant service specification and key performance indicators.
To provide continuous delivery of services and all associated policies and procedures are implemented as required.

Key Responsibilites:
- Ensure sufficient numbers of staff are available to deliver quality and timely Domestic Services. Caover any staff shortages due to absence by the reallocation of work duties. Esculate issues to line manager where necessary.
- Respond to service delivery issues in a timely and professonal manner.
- Conduct monthly team briefings, ensuring all colleagues are kept fully up to date.
- Communication both written and verbal, to all levels of staff relating to the provision of Facilities Services.
- Provide and receive technical and non-technical information, ensuring where relevant, such information is communicated effectively up to senior management level.
- Undertake such training as required to fulfil the responsibilites for Domestic Services Supervisor.
- Resolve operational services issues and failures in meeting the required service standards using own knowledge and experience.
- Analyse performance information related to the operartional delivery of Domestic Services. Assess any required acton to recover failed standards and escalate where appropiate to the Assistant Facilities Manager.
- Identify and action any poor practice which may result in financial loss to the Trust and report such to the Facilities Manager.
- In conjunction with the Facilities Manager, organise on a day-to-day basis, the planning and delivery of Domestic Services in accordance with service specifications, work instructions, service level agreements amd client requirements.
- To respond to incidents occuring with staff within the department and inform Facilities Manager of such matters. Conduct initial investigation as appropiate.
- To ensure all work allocted is undertaken and completed in accordance with relevant policies and procedures, accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Priortising completing work areas effectiviely and with regard to appropiate deadlines within a managed framework.
- Liaise with departmental staff to identify any issues of service performance and agree recovery actions, reporting persistent failures to the Assistant Facilities Manager.
- Check financial documentation for staff working in community settings e.g overtime, consumables usage and timesheets.
- To organise and oversee any deep cleans and ad hoc / periodic cleans.
- Ensure the safe and ffective use of equipment, manage and maintain machinery and provide adequate training.
- Assist the Facilites Manager with the recruitment, appointment, induction, training, monitoring and retention of staff.
- To liaise with multidisciplinary staf and stake holders as appropiate to develop and maintain good working relationships and to ensure effective communication always takes place.
- Assist in the delivery and monitoring of appropiate work schedules, frequencies and programs to ensure services are compliant with any associated standards to meet customer and service expectations. Conduct audits as per specification as required. compile reports as required.
- Organise stock control and consumables as directed, distribute to community properties accordingly.
- To oversee the deep clean programme / teams.
- To undertake individual appraisals and agree PDP domestic staff.
- Undertake all such reasonable other duties as may be required as part of the role.

The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £54.40, Standard £26.40 or Basic £26.40) from your salary when you commence in post (including Internal staff). For Enhanced and Standard DBS checks you will also be required to participate in the DBS Update Service and pay the £16 cost per year. This is a condition of your employment.
