An exciting Senior Nursing opportunity has arisen within our Forensic Services at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
We are looking to recruit a dynamic, competent and innovative Nurse Consultant to work in our inpatient medium and low secure services at Hellingly, and with our Forensic Outreach Liaison Service.
You would be predominantly based in Hellingly although some home working and community visits would be supported
You will join the Forensic Multidisciplinary leadership team which is responsible for promoting our clinical strategy and delivering high quality evidence based practice across the secure forensic pathway, promoting treatment interventions through a trauma informed lens. The service is currently participating in 5 QI projects which you would have opportunity to support and shape.
You would be supporting a strong clinical nursing team consisting of a modern matron, 4 ward managers, and Clinical Nurse Specialists along with robust operational support from a Community and Inpatient General and Service Manager. You would receive supervision from the Forensic Associate Clinical Director and the Specialist Division Director of Nursing.
The aim is to ensure excellence in nursing practice and that service delivery is based on NICE guidelines, Trust approved policies documents and guidance. This includes developing and delivering specialist training, education and development opportunities for nursing staff within the forensic strategy and health care.
