Are you a registered Health Care Professional such as Mental Health Nurse or Paediatric Nurse? Are you looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in mental health? Would you like to be part of a forward thinking, supportive and developing service?
We are looking for someone who would be enthusiastic about working with young people with neurodevelopmental diagnoses and their families, positive and enabling in their approach, able to work in partnership with young people, their families and professional networks with creativity and flexibility.
Manchester Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) work with Children, Young People and Families aged up to 18 years and who present with a wide range of complex emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We are looking for an experienced health practitioner who is able to work autonomously at Band 6, within a multi-disciplinary team. You must have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people and families, who present with complex mental health needs and often risk to self and or others.
You must have a working knowledge of CAMHS best practice initiatives and proven ability to assess complex mental health needs and levels of risk, including safeguarding and self-harm and the ability to offer evidence based interventions to meet need.
If this is you, we would love to hear from you and for you to be part of our fantastic team.

You will work as part of the CAMHS service. You will also work closely with their families, carers and professional networks. The role will include contributing to assessment (semi-structured clinical, neuropsychological, structured diagnostic assessment, observation), carrying out school observations and providing intervention, including direct individual, family, group therapeutic work, psycho-education, indirect behavioural work, case management and post diagnostic support.
