A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a staff nurse to join our acute specialist Diabetes and Endocrinology ward, Ward A7. It is a 28 bedded, mixed gender ward caring for acute and chronic diabetes and endocrine patients.
Ward A7 an excellent learning environment with a total of 5 Consultants treating patients with a wide variety of conditions. This would be an excellent opportunity to learn a new specialism with close working relationships with both Consultants and Specialist Nurses, also great for those looking for a career advancement in the field of Diabetes and Endocrine.
Ward A7 is a great opportunity for; compassionate, enthusiastic and highly motivated nurses who are interested in working on a busy acute ward, with an intention to develop their clinical and leadership skills. Applicants will be supported and encouraged to develop their leadership style and develop towards future goals.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term basis for a period of 9 months.

The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
You will ensure the smooth running of the ward as to safe admission, transfer, and discharge of patients and must be committed to providing a high standard of nursing care and have the drive to want to make a difference to patient care.
