SPECIALTY GRADE DENTIST POST (0.6 WTE) FTC 12-months
POSITION WORKING PATTERN: 3 DAY PER WEEK (Monday, Thursday, and Friday)
Applications are invited for a Specialty Grade Dentist to join the team in September 2025 to cover maternity leave.
The post is based at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Successful applicants will join an established Dental Education Team committed to high quality research-based academic and clinical teaching.
Advert
Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication skills and experience in pre and post registration teaching and training.
Applicants must have experience of teaching and supervising trainees.

Essential criteria
- Registered GDC dentist (BDS)
- Full GDC Registration. NB: Non-UK trained dentists must be on the GDC register by date of appointment- compliance with CPD requirements
Desirable criteria
- Qualification appropriate to teaching in the Lifelong learning Sector
- Mentoring qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience in the management of patients with general dental and restorative treatment needs
- Experience in education of dental care professionals
- Experience of working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Desirable criteria
- Involvement in post-qualification programmes/courses
- Experience in delivering online education and training
Skills and Abilities
Essential criteria
- Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of the principals of clinical governance and audit
- IT Skills particularly Excel & PowerPoint
- Able to learn different IT software systems

- Knowledge of educational quality assurance frameworks
