Job overview
We are looking to recruit into our BMT Business Coordinator role within our Haematology team.
The role will be working closely with the BMT Donor CNS’ and the Antony Nolan service to coordinate and organise donor assessment appointments.
This role will be challenging but rewarding and the work will contribute directly to patient care and satisfaction.
Advert
The job purpose is to provide effective administrative support and facilitate and coordinate medical assessments for donors coming through to the service from Antony Nolan or GOSH. The successful candidate will work closely with the BMT CNS team, BMT doctors, Antony Nolan, GOSH, apheresis team, quality and safety team, transplant pathway coordinator, haematology service manager and haematology assistant general manager.
The BMT Business Coordinator will be responsible for:
- Coordinating with external referrers (i.e. Antony Nolan) to book appointments
- Ensure all relevant paperwork is received and ready for the appointment to go ahead
- Liaising with the external referrers (i.e. Antony Nolan) to ensure all results and outcomes are shared as needed
- Investigate invoices received to confirm activity has taken place
- Collate all invoices for activity within the month and submit them to the finance team for payment
We are looking for a candidate with:
- Experience having worked in an NHS or medical environment, ideally within an Haematological setting (desired)
- Strong organisational skills
- Strong communication skills
- Good IT skills, specifically databases and Excel

- Degree or equivalent experience or equivalent training and experience of administrative procedures
