Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts. Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.
Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.
In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world-leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. Job overview
We are looking for Band 6 Podiatrists to join our growing dynamic team at Guys & St.Thomas' Hospital. These posts are hospital based within the central London Boroughs of Lambeth and Southwark.
The post will involve wound care management and 2 days of MSK rotating quarterly with other staff. The suitable candidate should be self-motivated and have a broad range of post-graduate clinical experience.
Patient care takes place in both out and in-patient setting. You may also be required to occasionally cover our satellite clinic.
You will be working within a team and must have good communication skills.
There will be supervision and mentoring from colleagues for continual CPD. In addition regular team meeting updates on Department and Trust positions.

Candidate will be managing a high risk caseload and working closely within a multi disciplinary team and using a range of advanced wound techniques in both in-patient and out-patients settings. There will be a 2 day rotational element for treating MSK patients
Candidate must be highly motivated and and should be able to cope with clinical emergencies in a pressurised environment.
You will be supervising junior staff and be involved in teaching, taking part in audit / research
The successfully candidate is required to be able to demonstrate Trust Valves, the responsibilities of the job description and person specification
