This is a full-time post based at UCH to start in August 2025 for 12 months.
The successful applicant will join the UCLH Amyloidosis clinical services with opportunities to gain specialist experience in clinical and research aspects
The successful applicant will participate in the weekly Amyloidosis Clinic and Plasma Cell Disorders MDT to gain clinical experience and will receive clinical and scientific teaching from involved consultants. There is scope to interlink with the specialist laboratories at UCLH NHS FT, where relevant for the development of diagnostic/prognostic tools for these diseases.
This post is suitable for a trainee who intends to pursue an academic career in haematology and wants to explore these multisystem diseases in detail. The post also provides training in transferable skills through clinical experience gained in complex plasma cell dyscrasias.
Clinical work will be based in the Macmillan Cancer Centre, Grafton Way Building (all part of the UCLH Trust) & NAC (Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust).

The post holder will develop research projects alongside specialist training and experience in the field of amyloidosis and other dysproteinaemias.
The post holder will be a sub-investigator across Phase 1 to 3 clinical trials in these disease areas.
The post holder will be expected to attend the MDT at the National Amyloidosis Centre (NAC) and do clinic(s) as agreed with the team.

- Medical degree
- Full GMC Registration. NB: Non-UK trained doctors must be on the GMC register by date of appointment (having completed both PLAB1 and PLAB2)
- Completed core medial training or equivalent
