With a patient-focused approach, you will:
• Lead a team of Dispensing Assistants, and Accuracy Checking Technicians to ensure delivery of a comprehensive, and high quality dispensary service.
· Support the Chief Technicians for technical services in creating a team of rotational assistants, and technicians that supports stock replenishment, dispensary, and ward based services

The successful candidate will be a experienced qualified Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and will have significant operational management experience in the relevant Pharmacy Services, as well as having knowledge and experience in HR policies and Procedures.
You will provide a Pharmacy Technician leadership role at Wythenshawe Hospital, deputising for the Operational Lead Pharmacy Technician as necessary.
You will be responsible for a team of Specialist Pharmacy Technicians, Pharmacy Technicians, and Medicines Management Assistants.
You will manage staff members performance and HR.
You will monitor and review data to ensure operational KPI's are delivered and ensure action is taken to maintain this.
You will act as a professional role model and develop positive relationships with key personnel.

- Pharmacy Technician Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Nationally recognised managerial qualification

- A understanding of current NHS and Pharmacy issues and how Pharmacy services should be delivered in the future.
- An understanding of each specialist area practiced by Pharmacy Techncial Staff underpinned by theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
- An understanding of current legislation and guidance documents affecting the delivery of Pharmacy services.
