Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts. Guy’s is home to the largest dental school in Europe and a £160 million Cancer Centre opened in 2016. As part of our commitment to provide care closer to home, in 2017 we also opened a cancer centre and a kidney treatment centre at Queen Mary’s Hospital in Sidcup. St Thomas’ has one of the largest critical care units in the UK and one of the busiest emergency departments in London. It is also home to Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.
Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.
In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world-leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic administrator to join the St John’s DermAcademy team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the delivery of innovative educational events and resources, which provide high quality dermatology medical education to varied healthcare professionals nationwide. The post holder will have a key role in the administration, event and project management and sponsor co-ordination of the St John’s DermAcademy and work as part of a progressive, dedicated multi-professional team.
The post holder will be expected to have excellent communication, organisational and networking skills, and proficient IT skills needed to perform regular tasks related to educational activity and events organisation. The post will involve regular interaction with clinicians, pharmaceutical industry sponsors, charity partners, course delegates and speakers.
The post will be based cross-site at Guy’s and St Thomas’, part time for 19 hours per week. The post holder may be required to work at any additional or different location owned or served by the trust, either on an on-going or temporary basis according to the demands of the service. You may also be required to attend non-trust sites to attend meetings or assist in the delivery of educational events.

The administrator plays a key role in supporting St John’s DermAcademy’s operations and growth. Main duties include:
1. Digital Hub Support
Provide daily administrative support for the development and coordination of the DermAcademy Digital Hub, including managing communications, scheduling meetings, tracking documents, and liaising with clinicians, managers, and developers.
2. Event Coordination
Assist the team with the planning and delivery of events; handling registrations, delegate queries, logistics, materials, and on-the-day support to ensure smooth and professional execution.
3. Sponsor Management
Maintain strong relationships with industry and academic sponsors, supporting contract administration, timely communications, and database updates essential to DermAcademy’s income generation.
4. Communications & Content Oversight
Support regular updates to the website and social media platforms, review and manage Typeform logic and submissions, and compile stats and metrics for performance reporting.
5. Internal Operations
Provide admin support for team meetings, executive away days, HR follow-ups, and file/email management. Maintain shared resources, such as the S drive, to ensure seamless internal coordination.
