Join our dedicated Neurodevelopmental Conditions (NDC) Pathway team, part of the integrated CAMHS service, and help make a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families.

Our pathway focuses on understanding and meeting the emotional and mental health needs of children with suspected or diagnosed neurodevelopmental conditions. We aim to improve long-term wellbeing and reduce future mental health challenges through tailored, evidence-based interventions delivered by our multi-disciplinary team.

As an Assistant Psychologist, you’ll play a key role in supporting psychological assessments and interventions under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist. You’ll work both independently and collaboratively, contributing to clinical work, service evaluation, data collection, audits, research and project work.

Advert

•       To assist in the assessment of children and young people and families with complex mental health needs.

•       To assist in the formulation and delivery of care plans involving the psychological treatment and/or management of a client’s problems, under the supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist.

•       To assist in the coordination and running of therapeutic groups for young people and their families/carers under supervision.

•       To work alongside other team members and ensure close liaison and communication within the team and with colleagues in other agencies.

•       To attend and contribute to appropriate multi-disciplinary meetings, reflective practice sessions, team formulation sessions, referral meetings and multi-agency meetings where appropriate.
