Job overview
The purpose of the Nursing Associate post is to actively coordinate patient pathways through the Rheumatology department, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for patients throughout their Rheumatology treatment at the Trust. This role includes providing an effective clinical administrative and telephony service.

The main duties of the job will be to assist in the co-ordination of patient care, this will include the use of telephony systems and IT systems whilst working collaboratively with the wider multi-disciplinary team. Analytical and organisational skills are a key factor to this role, an ability to work autonomously is essential following training, with support from the nursing team. The candidate will undertake risk assessments with patients following guidance and standard operating procedures, and should be able to travel across the Trust to apply this skills. Detailed job description and main responsibilities
- To exercise accountability as set out in the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
- Work within NHCFT policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure high clinical standards.
- To contribute to all nursing care, providing care for people including those with complex needs.
- Working as a member of the nursing team under the direction of the Registered Nurse to provide and monitor care.
- To role model compassionate and inclusive leadership in order to shape the creation of a collective leadership culture within the trust. This means demonstrating a consistent leadership style which (a) engages, enables and empowers others (b) uses coaching to
promote ownership of learning and quality improvement and (c) facilitates team working and collaboration within teams / departments and across organisational boundaries.
