The unified audiology service within Manchester Foundation Trust provides a comprehensive audiology and auditory implant service to patients of all ages and works across hospitals within Manchester.  The services have state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and we are unique in providing all the services available within audiology under one management structure and within one NHS Trust.  You will be part of the  largest auditory implant service in the UK and primarily be based at Manchester Royal Infirmary.  You will provide a holistic pre and post implant service to adult patients with cochlear implants and bone conduction devices and have an additional interest in the provision of rehabilitation for adult patients with tinnitus.  You will have appropriate registration and a minimum of BSc or equivalent training in Audiology with knowledge of implant work in either cochlear implants or bone conduction devices. Additional training and support will be given where required. the department has close educational and research links to the University of Manchester.  We have UKAS accreditation for adult and paediatric services.

Band 6 Audiologist Manchester Royal Infirmary.

We are looking for a dynamic audiologist/healthcare scientist to join our audiology team at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. The department is unique in providing all hearing services for adults and children under one management structure and within one hospital Trust. We are located in a purpose built facility with state of the art equipment. The department provides a number of specialist regional and supra-regional services including  auditory implantation and attracts complex cases from throughout the region and through our close working with ENT. You will have a particular interest in auditory implants and tinnitus.    Further training will be provided as needed.

.  Successful candidates should have a BSc or PTP in Audiology or Healthcare Science and recognised higher levels of training and experience or an MSc  (STP ) in audiology or healthcare science.
