Job overview
Are you an expert in health and safety with a strong background in fire prevention and security management?
Do you possess the leadership skills to ensure a safe and secure environment for all? If so, come and join us as Senior Manager - Security, Fire, Health & Safety!
You will be part of our Estates and Facilities Department and a key member of the Estates Compliance and Support Team with responsibility for ensuring that the Trust has appropriate health and safety, security and fire safety management policies, processes and systems in place, and that these are embedded across the organisation.
At Oxford Health, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety and security for our employees, patients, and visitors. You'll be responsible for developing effective relationships across directorates as well as external partner organisations (including Fire Authorities, Local Police Authorities and NHS Protect) and providing technical reports to the Trust Board on your areas of work.
This is a 12 month fixed-term contract and can be offered as a secondment opportunity to existing NHS employees.

The main duties of this role include:
- Provide a highly visible leadership role for the management of health and safety throughout the organisation ensuring the profile is raised to promote health and safety awareness.
- Develop a suit of training and information tools to support all staff to understand their obligations and responsibilities in relation to health and safety. Ensure that such training and information is focused and easily accessible, and that the mode of delivery is supportive and suitable for the staff group and topic.
- Monitor the compliance with health and safety training, providing regular reports to service directors of levels of non-compliance.
- Develop annual action plans relevant to health and safety management and be responsible for implementation within defined timescales.
- Produce reports to a high standard as required to inform staff, other managers, the Trust and external organisations of lessons learnt, and improvements made as a result of health and safety incident reports
