An exciting fixed term (12 months) opportunity has arisen for a Senior Registered Nurse to join our Community Mental Health Team based at Enterprise House, Spennymoor, County Durham to support adults living with mental health needs. The service offers assessment and treatment within the community setting delivering recovery focused interventions
Candidates must have 18 months post qualifying experience including sign off of appropriate preceptorship or competency framework.
Applicants must ensure that prior to applying they have agreement from their current line manager that they can be released on a secondment basis. In the event that permanent funding is secured for this post the successful applicant will be confirmed in post on a permanent basis.

You will need to have significant experience of working with people with mental ill health in a care setting, delivering clinical interventions specific to care pathways. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are required to have the ability and experience to manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies. In addition you will further develop skills in psychosocial interventions and care management. You will support service users in their recovery. As a Senior Registered Nurse you will be expected to supervise and mentor junior members of staff as well as student nurses. You will fully embrace community transformation and encourage ongoing engagement from all staff utilising effective leadership skills. You are required to use your own initiative and make decisions independently for this post.
There is an expectation of commitment to the development of high quality care, and to engage in quality improvement activities. You will be supported with regular management and clinical supervision. We use Cells, Daily Decision meetings and Complex case discussions to ensure our staff are fully supported by colleagues and Leadership Team. You will be offered training and development opportunities to fully support your role within the team.

The Team is based In Spennymoor, county Durham. We support remote working in line with meeting service need. We are well established in moving forward with community transformation and are currently in the process of a service redesign to support hub and Intervention approach to care delivery.
Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that applicants can travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes. If necessary, adjustments can be considered in accordance with the Equality Act 2010. A lease car scheme is in operation.

Trust Welcome Day
Here at Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys Foundation NHS Trust, we want you to have a positive experience when you start your new role with us. To ensure you have great welcome, for all new starters joining the Trust, we offer two start dates per month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of that month.
