We are currently looking for an Adult Community Dietitian to join our friendly and dynamic teams in a bank position. We provide Community Dietetics Services across Bromley, Bexley and Lewisham boroughs. We are patient focused and thrive on providing quality care.
The post holder will help to support where needed in the Community Dietetics services. This will involve supporting patients either in their own homes, care/nursing homes or in a clinic type setting. The caseload could include Home Enteral Feeding patients, nutrition support patients and general out-patient clinics. The role includes support, assessment, and on-going reviews.
Car driver would be essential for this role, though the role will be a mix of on-site, remote and patient visit types of working.

The Dietetic teams are made up of Community Specialist Dietitians, Specialist Nutrition Nurses and Dietetic Assistant Practitioners. Within Bromley Healthcare there is good network of Community Dietitians from Bexley, Bromley (both adults and children's teams) and Lewisham which helps support shared learning and CPD.

This is a bank position for a Specialist Adult Community Dietitian to support the Community Dietetics services at Bromley Healthcare. Therefore, there are no guaranteed hours.

Salary is determined by NHS experience and current banding/pay point. External applicants will begin at the entry point of the salary scale in line with NHS terms and conditions.

- Clinically competent to give specialist advice, treatment and dietary counselling to support behaviour change in adults and their carers with diverse healthcare needs
- High level of understanding of professional issues and ethics, and their application to practice
- Ability to use clinical judgement and clinical reasoning skills in assessing and evaluating highly complex, sensitive and contentious patient information to patients/carers and within the multi-disciplinary team
- Highly developed negotiation, persuasion, motivation and counselling skills
- Knowledge of relevant national guidelines, frameworks and policies
