The Learning & Development Department are looking for a Reception Supervisor & Centre Technician Assistant to join our Education & Development Administration Service team on a 12 month fixed-term contract.
You'll be supervising the reception team and working with the Centre Technician to support facilitators and report any technical issues as required. Your duties will be varied with a need for a high level of accuracy, excellent IT skills and the ability to prioritise workload. You will also be providing a high level of customer service to visitors to the department, so great interpersonal skills are a must.
The Education & Development Administration Service team is made up of around 22 staff members. We are a friendly team and enjoy socialising, getting to know each other and having lunch together when we're in the office. We also have regular team wellbeing, CPD, and team building sessions. Our latest sessions have included things like dessert islands favourites, MBTI session, Easter pom pom making, time management, bring and share lunch, a bake off and many more.
You will be required to be an Emergency First Aider and full training will be provided. The core hours are 07:30 - 15:30 or 08:00 - 16:00 with some flexibility, working on site at Unipart House in Oxford, Monday - Friday. This role can be offered as a secondment opportunity.

- Being a first post of contact for visitors, cover the Reception desk.
- Supporting visitors in the Learning & Development centre and over the phone
- Ensure an adequate stock level is maintained, ordering new stock as required.
- Manage processes for the Reception team
- Maintaining logs for Health & Safety processes
- Managing external room bookings
- Reporting any issues as they arise to the Centre Technician
- Troubleshooting any on the day equipment issues and supporting facilitators to fix any IT problems.
- Escalating as required to the Centre Technician

The Education & Development Administration Service is made up of four sub teams: Masters Education and Placements team, Statutory, Mandatory and Essential Training team, Apprenticeships and Skills for Life team and Centre and Business team. The administration team are part of the wider Learning & Development department.
Learning & Development provide access to a wide range of opportunities which include clinical and professional development, vocational qualifications, leadership and management development as well as Apprenticeships and Functional Skills support. We support all staff from Oxford Health.
Personal development is encouraged and is supported through Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeships and other relevant IT and administration upskilling courses, alongside regular supervision and personal development review.
