An opportunity has arisen within the Community Adult Learning Disability Service for a permanent post as an Assistant Psychologist within the Psychology Service that works in the Central Learning Disability Service in Manchester, based in Hulme.
The role will be to support the qualified psychologists to work with adults with learning disabilities, their families and the services that support them in a variety of ways, as well as supporting the wider multi-disciplinary teams. This will include delivering therapy, neuropsychological assessments, behavioural advice, training, and contribution to service developments.

To assist, under the direct supervision of a qualified psychologist, the delivery of psychology services . There is an emphasis upon clinical delivery alongside evaluation, service development, research and audit. Clinical delivery will include neuropsychological assessments, delivery of therapy, advice to supporters and dementia assessments.
To support and enhance the professional psychological care within clinical psychology services for Adults with Learning Disabilities and their families and care staff in Central Manchester.
To assist in clinically related administration, collation and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data, development of audit and research projects, delivering and participating in training and service development project work.
