Job overview
The Director of Workforce and Education will lead and support the strategic delivery of the Workforce and Education Trust portfolio which includes planning, development and effective utilisation of the nursing and midwifery workforce, Domestic and International
Recruitment and programmes to improve nursing and midwifery retention. The postholder will be responsible for providing leadership and coordination and management of the NMAHP temporary staffing contract/portfolio.

Function as a member of the Senior Corporate Nursing Team and deputise for the Chief Nursing Officer as required across the full range of
their professional duties, taking delegated corporate responsibility, attending meetings and functions as required and leading clinical and HR investigations as required.
Play a key role in the development of the Trust Strategy for non-medical professionals and the reconfiguration of Trust services, ensuring that agreed models are implemented in line with governance processes and provide assurance.
Work closely with Clinical GroupDirectors of Nursing and Corporate Nursing Team to maintain open and positive communication and to engage all stakeholders when making decisions relating to the portfolio.
Develop partnership working with the HEIs and build effective networks across the NHS, Social Care, the Trust and wider community.
Act as an Ambassador for the Trust and an effective and innovative role model and advocate for the profession, contribute to a culture of positive performance management, challenge outdated practices, seek opportunities to develop new roles and develop own credibility through the demonstration of high standards of compassionate nursing care.

- Post registration management qualification
- MSc in Health-Related Subject

- Comprehensive understanding of integrated health social care models
