Job overview
The medical therapy team at Trafford Hospital are looking to recruit a dynamic Band 7 Physiotherapist as team lead for the multidisciplinary team.
The post holder should possess excellent clinical and advanced communication skills alongside a flexible and visionary work ethic. The successful applicant should have relevant clinical experience in acute care and a special interest within medicine for older people including those with a cognitive impairment. There is a requirement to manage the on-call respiratory rota, and coordinate site wide respiratory training for the on-call team.
We are seeking someone with advanced clinical skills in assessment of frailty syndromes, understanding how to utilise multi disciplinary assessment and rehabilitation approaches to support patients through their hospital stay, with a strong focus on patient flow.
There will be an expectation to carry a clinical caseload and to work alongside the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist to lead the MDT. The post has responsibility for direct clinical leadership of the therapy team (Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and rehabilitation assistants).
You will be able to demonstrate involvement in service and team development, including supporting senior clinical leads as well as supervision of clinical staff and students.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their leadership skills, alongside using clinical specialty skills in physiotherapy

Consideration will be given to flexible working patterns.
We strongly welcome informal discussion/ visits for more information relating to the post.
