Children's SLT Clinical Service Lead

Ealing Community Partners has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated SLT to join a team of three other Paediatric SLT Clinical Leads, working with the Children’s Services Manager and Professional Paediatric Therapy Lead to manage a large, diverse and dynamic Paediatric SLT service. This team is part of Ealing Services for Children with Additional Needs and the post holder will join the leadership team as it enters a new phase of development.  

Ealing Paediatric SLT Service sits within Ealing Community Partners which was created in 2019 and hosted by West London NHS Trust in partnership with CNWL NHS Foundation Trust. 

Working closely with the other SLT Clinical Service leads, this post will focus on the operational management, clinical delivery and development of SLT provision to children and young people accessing the SLT Service across a range of community sites and educational settings.  It will involve joint service planning with other key stakeholders working with these populations.   The post holder will also be involved in the implementation of a revised service offer to children accessing SLT services in Ealing.

You will be joining a dynamic team of SLT Clinical Service Leads who manage the provision of a full range of high quality, Universal, Targeted and Specialist Paediatric SLT services.  You will be part of an innovative and forward-thinking department who are committed to putting research into practice to improve patient outcomes. This post will be an ideal opportunity for a  speech and language therapist looking to develop their leadership skills in paediatric speech and language therapy who also has values that align with those of our organisation and is passionate about making a difference to children and young people.

Ealing SLT Department feel strongly that Continual Professional Development is central to the delivery of the service and the development of the staff who work within it.  The department offers a wide range of opportunities for CPD and is committed to providing excellent levels of support and supervision such as: - weekly clinical service lead meetings, supervision sessions, journal clubs, specialism groups and whole department training days.  We  maintain strong links with Victoria Kilsby, Trust Head of Profession and ensure our staff are kept abreast of the opportunities available as part of the wider organisation of CNWL e.g. 21CLP Leadership Training.
