University College London Hospitals is seeking to appoint a Consultant Gynaecologist in Endometriosis (9.5 PAs).
The Endometriosis Centre is a BGSE-accredited tertiary service with a commitment to excellence in multidisciplinary clinical care, surgical innovation, and high-quality training.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual who wishes to join our well-established and dedicated multidisciplinary team.
The successful applicant will join our close-knit team, founded on mutual respect and the delivery of excellence in clinical care. Exceptional interpersonal skills and team working are essential. Clinical care is delivered within a well-established clinical governance framework and our unit has a commitment to data collection, clinical audit, and clinical research.

Advert
As a tertiary referral unit, we provide care for patients complex endometriosis. The successful applicant will work within a long-established multidisciplinary team, including colleagues in urology and colorectal surgery.
The post will comprise 9.5 sessions each week, including outpatient clinics, multidisciplinary meetings, surgical operating lists, and inpatient ward rounds. The post holder will also participate in the gynaecology consultant on-call rota and should possess the required clinical skills to respond to gynaecological emergencies.

Professional Qualifications
Essential criteria
- • Eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment and hold a current licence to practise.
- • MRCOG or appropriate specialist registration
- • Relevant CCT or equivalent (‘equivalence’ must be confirmed by GMC by date of AAC)
- • Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register (O&G) or eligibility for entry within 6 months of the date of the AAC
- • Subspecialty accreditation in endometriosis
Desirable criteria
- • Higher degree (MD, PhD)
Clinical Experience
Essential criteria
- • Clinical training and experience in general obstetrics and gynaecology equivalent to that required of a UK CCT.
- • Substantial experience in endometriosis
Clinical Skills
Essential criteria
- • Excellent skills in endometriosis surgery, both laparoscopic and minimal access
- • Competency in emergency gynaecology procedures including ectopic and miscarriage
Desirable criteria
- • Competence in robotic surgery
