Guy’s and St Thomas’ is among the UK’s busiest and most successful NHS foundation trusts. We provide a full range of hospital and community services for people in south London and as well as specialist care for patients from further afield including cancer, renal, orthopaedic, respiratory and cardiovascular services.
Guy’s is home to the largest dental school in Europe and a £160 million Cancer Centre opened in 2016. Evelina London cares for local children in Lambeth and Southwark and provides specialist services across south east England including cardiac, renal and critical care services. We lead a number of specialist service networks aiming to ensure children are treated locally where possible, but have access to specialist expertise when they need it. Our community services include health visiting, school nursing and support for families of children with long-term conditions.
Our adult community services teams deliver care at the heart of the local communities we serve, working in partnership with GPs, local authorities and other healthcare and voluntary sector organisations. Working with our partners in Lambeth and Southwark, we are focusing on new ways of working to improve care for local patients.
In February 2021 the Royal Brompton and Harefield joined Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, bringing together world-leading expertise in the care and research of heart and lung disease. Our merger provides a once in a generation opportunity to build a lasting, world-renowned heart and lung centre, providing the highest quality care for patients and conducting world-leading research.

Highly Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist or Midwife – Perinatal Pelvic Health Service
Are you passionate about improving women’s health and making a difference to pelvic health outcomes during the perinatal period? We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Highly Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist or Midwife to join our Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS) based at Guy's and St Thomas’ Hospital and Community setting.
This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in delivering and developing a service designed to improve access to pelvic health care for women and birthing people during pregnancy and after birth, in line with the NHS Long Term Plan and South East London Local Maternity and Neonatal System (LMNS) objectives.
About the Role
You will lead the identification and management of pelvic health needs throughout the perinatal period, providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership to ensure high-quality, woman-centred care across antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal pathways.
The post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Perinatal Pelvic Health Service at St Thomas’, working collaboratively with colleagues across Lewisham and Greenwich (LGT) and King’s College Hospital (KCH) sites to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to pelvic health care across South East London.

About You
This role is open to experienced Physiotherapists or Midwives with a strong background in pelvic health and perinatal care. You will have significant experience of managing pelvic floor dysfunction and working in an outpatient setting, providing holistic, evidence-based care.
You will hold appropriate professional registration (HCPC or NMC) and postgraduate training or equivalent experience in pelvic health practice. You will be confident working autonomously, skilled in multidisciplinary collaboration, and committed to improving outcomes for women through education, clinical leadership and innovation.
Experience in service development, teaching and supporting staff across disciplines will be highly valued.

Providing highly specialist assessment and management for women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction during and after pregnancy.
