We work closely with Kids First Nurseries that are based within our trust grounds at Wansbeck, North Tyneside and Hexham hospitals to care for our Trust family's children, they offer care for children from 6 weeks old up to 4 years. Job overview
We are seeking a motivated and conscientious administrator to work within our fast-paced HR Staff Bank Team. The HR Staff Bank team play a pivotal role in the HR Team at Northumbria Healthcare, we are a small team who are responsible for the deployment of bank and agency workers. We support wards and departments across the Trust responding quickly to meet staffing demands caused by an increase in patient activity, staff holidays or illness.
The post will be based at Northumbria House, Cobalt Business Park but you may be required to work at other sites within the Trust. To meet the demands of the service, our office is open 365 days of the year. Our opening hours are Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday, Sunday and bank holidays between 08.30-10.30. There is a rota to ensure the office is manned and there is an expectation that you will work approx. 1 weekend in 4.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Advise managers/staff of HR Staff Bank Policy and Agency Policy
Advise bank workers and managers on policies/procedures/external processes (e.g. WTD, Health at Work, Agency, Work Permits)
Resolve queries such as those relating to pay/vacancies.
Liaising with external agencies to seek staffing gaps
Set up interview arrangements i.e. collating and distributing information for the interview panel
Ensure appropriate compliance files from recruitment agencies inc health/DBS/professional registration/immigration clearances prior to commencement
Input data onto Human Resources computerised system
Assisting HR Advisors with comprehensive administrative support i.e. liaising with payroll, sickness, maternity and confirming dates for employment
Updating HR Managers /Advisors diaries / arranging meetings as required.
