Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd – a wholly-owned subsidiary at the Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust.
Following consideration of an in-depth feasibility study and comprehensive discussions with staff, trade unions and other stakeholders in 2017 and 2018 CHFT decided at its meeting in February 2018 to set up a wholly-owned subsidiary to manage its estates, facilities, medical engineering and procurement functions.
The subsidiary is called Calderdale and Huddersfield Solutions Ltd (CHS) and opened for business on September 1st, 2018.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with a positive can do attitude.
The ideal candidate will have demonstratable experience at supervisor level within the facilities management environment.
Shift pattern: Monday to Friday 12.00-8.00pm.

The main responsibilities of the post holder will be the supervision of the day-to-day operation of Domestic Services ensuring quality services are delivered in compliance with relevant service specification and key performance indicators. Ensure the continuous delivery of services and respond to service failures in a timely manner. To act as key contact for all daily operational issues, concerns and service failures, responding to and resolving such issues in a professional and timely manner.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Key Responsibilites:
- In conjunction with the line manager, organise on a day to day basis, the planning and delivery of Domestic Services in accordance with service specifications, work instructions, service level agreements and client requirements.
 - Ensure sufficient numbers of staff are available to deliver quality and timely Domestic Services. To work operationally and cover any staff shortages due to absence by the reallocation of work duties. Escalate issues to Line Manager / Duty Manager, out of hours, where necessary.
 - Assist in the development and delivery of appropriate work schedules, frequencies and programs to ensure services meet customer and service expectations.
 - To train all staff in their area of work as agreed with the Assistant Facilities Manager, organising any outsourced training requirements.
 - To cover absence / breaks on the enquiry desk
 - Liaise with ward or department staff to identify any issues of service performance and agree recovery actions, reporting persistent failures to the Assistant Facilities manager.
 - Work closely with the service performance team in order to ensure service failures are rectified as soon as possible and within agreed response times
 - To respond to and report on InPhase, incidents occurring with staff within the department and inform Facilities Manager of such matters. Conduct initial investigation as appropriate
 - To ensure all work allocated is undertaken and completed in accordance with relevant polices and procedures, accurately and within agreed timescales.
 - Prioritising competing work areas effectively and with regard to appropriate deadlines within a managed framework.
 - To liaise with a multidisciplinary staff as appropriate to develop and maintain good working relationships and to ensure effective communication takes place at all times.
 - Organise stock control and consumables as directed.
 - Resolve operational services issues and failure in meeting the required service standards using own knowledge and experience within scope of grade.
 - As directed by the line manager, interpret data and performance information related to the operational delivery of Facilities Services.
 - Check department financial documentation e.g. overtime sheets, consumable usage and time sheets.
 - Ensure the safe and effective use of equipment, manage and maintain stock control
 - Assist the Assistant Facilities Manager with the recruitment, appointment, induction, training, and retention of staff;
 - To receive and distribute work instructions to the appropriate service delivery staff.
 - To prepare and issue ID badges
 - To rountinely patrol the site and issue warning/parking tickets as necessary, when required
 - To manage audit fails and rectifications, by way of issuing, signing and returning to relevant parties by given timeframe
 - Partake in joint audits
 - To undertake and record probationary reviews, RTW conversations and informal meetings
 - To oversee the deep clean programme / teams
 - To carry out and record induction and induction training
