An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our very dynamic Palliative Care Service as an Administrative Assistant. The service includes 3 teams which support patients at various stages of their illness. They are; Enhanced Supportive Care, Specialist Palliative Care and Transforming End of Life Care. You will also engage with and support the medical examiners service at UCLH.
The post holder will actively manage the administrative processes attached to the services, ensuring a smooth and efficient service for both the multidisciplinary team and patients. You will deliver a high-quality administration service, a positive patient experience, and excellent customer service.
Both written and verbal excellent communication skills are expected along with experience of maintaining databases and confidence in using Excel. The role requires someone who is proactive, willing to take ownership and accountability, and able to manage a high-volume workload.

It is a permanent part time post working alongside a multidisciplinary clinical team and admin team. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who demonstrates skills with a focus on maintaining and achieving high quality patient care.
Good organisational and communication skills, flexibility, accuracy, and the ability to work autonomously, with attention to detail, within a busy environment are key attributes.

Knowledge and Qualifications

- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent, with Grade C or above in English and Maths.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures, acquired through training and/or previous experience of working in an administrative environment.
- Awareness of the requirement to maintain confidentiality, and knowledge of the Data Protection Act.
